Stormtrooper, or nicknamed 'Bucketheads' were replacements to the expensive Clone Troopers. The Empire no longer need to pay for cost of cloning to Kaminoans, but instead rely of natural-born, paid human army.
Shadow stormtroopers, or nicknamed 'Blackhole stormtroopers' were elite and highly trained stormtroopers for the Galactic Empire. They wear black experimental suits with cloaking capabilities. They first appear in Star Wars Battlefront game.
