Stormtrooper, or nicknamed 'Bucketheads' were replacements to the expensive Clone Troopers. The Empire no longer need to pay for cost of cloning to Kaminoans, but instead rely of natural-born, paid human army.

Range trooper, are specialised variant of the Galactic Empire armed with E-10R blaster rifles. They have distinctive heavy coated fur armor for the cold weather and equipped with magnetic gription boots to ensure footing on fast moving vehicles. They were first seen in Solo : A Star Wars Story guarding the 20-T railcrawler conveyex transport in the heist.
